Vanity mirrors are well lit three panel mirrors that allow you to see all parts of your face when looking through each panel. If lighted, the bulbs are usually lined down the outsides of the panes of glass and across the top. The mirrors are designed for ease of use during make applications or removal. Some are made to fit your bathroom while other vanity mirrors can come with a desk top and chair for other parts of your home. There are smaller compact vanities that double as medicine cabinets. These are found in smaller bathrooms that don't allow room for sitting. They provide the same peripheral view of your face however that's about all you are able to view with these smaller types. Regardless of the size, vanity mirrors can make any room they are in stand out. While they have a straight forward functionality, they also provide a dazzling decoration for any homeowner.

Vanity Mirrors In The Bathroom

You bathroom is a place of privacy. Being able to sit down and take your time to apply makeup at a vanity mirror is a very peaceful and relaxing way to spend some alone time in your home. A bathroom vanity mirror can be found to fit almost any bathroom décor. While many bathrooms are simple in their style you can still find bathroom vanity mirrors in a wide range of styles. Most will keep with simple lines and open edges to give maximum peripheral view. Even if they are framed, the frame will not hamper any viewing whatsoever. You can find one that will enhance your bathroom's lighting while maintaining the practicality of the space, as long as it doesn’t become the main focal point of the room. The extra lighting will actually require less lighting elsewhere in the room so it may even become an asset economically.

Choosing Your Vanity Mirror

Deciding on the right vanity wall mirror means looking at the many styles available and deciding which style meets your needs. I've put together a little buying guide to help you in your decision making process. Hopefully afterwards you will have a better idea of what you are looking for.

You're no stranger to the internet, so use it to get an idea of prices. You can save yourself some real money by shopping around on the internet first before shopping locally. Many times even with shipping you will save overall than shopping directly from a store. Review as many sites as you can, not only to get prices of different bath vanity mirrors, but to see as many styles as you can. Sometimes you will find actual reviews on a vanity wall mirror so you can get a real opinion on something you like before you buy.

Consider where you will put the mirror once you decide on the style you like. Will your bathroom accommodate a vanity with mirror or just the mirror itself? Are you interested in lighted vanity mirrors or would that be too much for your bathroom? Would something like an antique vanity mirror work in the space you are considering? Think about these few things and I'm sure you will come up with more on your own.

Once you have an idea of placement and style, go out and look at them up close to actually see if what you decided on is actually what you thought it was. It's hard to tell if something will work when you are viewing it online. The images don't always come close to your décor for one thing. Size is also hard to gauge. Getting out there and looking is always a good practice when choosing among vanity mirrors.
