These days you can use tiles and mosaics or just solid colors in any number of swimming pool designs. And design isn't just related to the interior of the pool. It can include the shape, materials used in construction, whatever you can imagine to tie your pool and yard together. For those of you with above ground swimming pools you are not excluded. There are a plethora of designs you can choose from. You are limited in that the swimming pool designs are premade, but you can avoid the typical round pool if that's not your style.

Choosing Swimming Pool Designs

Your swimming pool design will transform your backyard into something truly exciting. It will take some serious planning and decision making to come to a final outcome but when you do reach that goal and begin the excavation your excitement will escalate to anticipation as you wait for your inground swimming pool designs take shape. The key is to look at every possible aspect of your designing process. That means deciding a shape first and then materials. Take a look at every kind of pool tile and mosaic you can get your hands on and go through some magazines or search the web to get some design ideas. This includes swimming pool deck designs. The deck is an integral part of your pool so it only makes sense to include its design in the scheme of things.

Steps To Swimming Pool Design

Space is your first undertaking. Most of these steps can be done yourself but you may want to consult several swimming pool designers for specifics and typical complications that you are not seeing. They design swimming pools all day long and will know the pitfalls you need to look out for. For example, you can fit a pool in practically any yard but it really depends on if there are any underground utilities around that could pose threats to your designs. You might have your heart set on an inground pool but if these lines are unavoidable then you'll have to settle on an above ground pool. Above ground swimming pool designs are more limiting than inground pool designs and you may end up disappointed if you get your hopes up before you know what you're getting into.

How creative do you plan on getting? Your designs could include a patio area for instance. What kind of materials are you looking at? Maybe you'd like to include a grilling area. Perhaps you want to install an outdoor shower. Any kind of accessory should be considered in your designs. There are no small swimming pool designs. Maybe you have the space to consider some indoor swimming pool designs and want to put in some Olympic pool length lanes. You are only limited by your budget and backyard space.

Suppose you want a theme? And I don't mean some amusement park theme or an aquarium (while that is totally possible). I'm talking about aesthetics. Perhaps you want a marble pool, with some exotic floral around its edge. Think about a waterfall emptying into your pool. Of course you'll have to bring in landscapers for this kind of work.

The thing about pool design is that there are few things to stop you from having an amazing pool for your home. How much you are willing to spend and how much space you have to work with are all that stands in your way from having the most incredible swimming pool around. Following is the first part of a fantastic series on swimming pool designs. Check it out and maybe you'll get some ideas.

I am in love with the 2nd simulated swimming pool design pictured in this hub. These pools will need custom pool covers, which you can find online for very cheap.

Ask your pool builder if they use PoolStudio software, it's a great program to help you visualize what your pool will look like in your yard. All Endless Pools products can be found in the software's pre-sets.
